Boats off all sizes can be found on America's Great Loop. Everything from canoes and Wave Runners, to sailboats and yachts. This morning I took this photo of our boat on the left and another looper boat we shared the dock with. This thing was so big a family could live on it full time.
Our first stop as tourist in Paducah was the River Heritage Museum. With four nearby rivers, the Ohio, Cumberland, Tennessee and Mississippi, Paducah is uniquely located for this museum.
In the museum I took a picture of this map in the museum, then added an orange arrow to mark our start and another arrow on Paducah. I also added orange circle around each of the four locks we've gone through so far.
The photo below is of miniature quilts.
Like the murals along the Covington, Kentucky flood wall near my home, as well as many other Ohio river towns, artist Robert Dafford has painted a history of Paducah ranging from its earliest settlers up to the present.
TOMORROW WE OFFICIALLY BEGIN OUR QUEST TO TRAVEL AMERICA'S GREAT LOOP!
